Hello!

Are you a senior and you do not know what to do after retirement? Well, the good news is there is a lot you can do. You can begin with simple activities such as walking, dancing, or jogging. You can also be part of different social activities. Retirement is the beginning of another chapter of life, it is not the end of the road.

Why do I need to be active?

Well, the use of it is to keep your mind refreshing, strengthen your body, and prevent diseases that come along with age. Activities can be being part of different clubs and doing different kinds of exercises. For example, you can be part of a club such as a Travel club or Knit club.

What kind of exercises can I do?

Now, that you have retired and you do not go to the office, you will need another method to get your blood pumping. After all, you have to stay healthy. The best exercises you can do are chair yoga, walking, dumbbell strength training, resistance band workouts. But before doing any kind of exercise just make sure you are stretching because the purpose of doing exercise is to keep you healthy not injured. You have to also keep in mind you are not an athlete, so the exercise you choose should be simple and the ones that go with your age.

Plan your activities

The best thing you can do for yourself is to put every plan you have on the calendar. Since you have now retired a lot of people will want to spend time with you. However, you do not have to create a job for yourself of being busy spending time with others. As studies show, it is good to space out things you are planning to do and plan them ahead of time. By doing that you won't be anxious if you could make it to your granddaughter's birthday or your friend's anniversary.

Having a positive set of mind

Although you have retired, it does not mean that you do not have a purpose in life. In fact, it is the opposite, you have a purpose but it is just that you are in a different setting. With that, you can still impact your environment and be impacted by others as well. You can share your life experience with the next generation. You can also share problems you have noticed and want to see someone bring forth a change to them.
